Concrete building/ treacle chair; Out of the Strong Came Forth Sweetness

pictures from weheart.co.uk

Out of the Strong Came Forth Sweetness, was an installment in Sept 2010 from McChensey Architects, a practice which creates "unambiguously engaging [pieces], through the material presence of its form-making." (M.Arc) This seems to be the case with their 22 metre chair (wow did not imagine it would be THAT tall), which rises in between the concrete walls of London's Angel Building. The practice believe in using "a defining vision evolves instinctively in relation to contextual prompts which amplify inherent site qualities" when designing and this can be seen in this very installation as the idea was generated by pulling treacle out of it's tin with a teaspoon.
