AHHM, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects, a practice who "make buildings that are satisfying to use and beautiful to look at; an architecture that is defined by the experience of users who should be able to understand and use each building with ease and enjoyment." (
AHHM Architects). A practice which designs buildings through using logic and clarity and by guiding their designs this way they create innovative solutions which work without complication and seem to appear modern without the fuss of disregarding familiar techniques and materials. I like their buildings and I like this approach. There isn't too much formality but the logic is still there and still retains elements of playfulness, especially in their office designs.
(see below, yellow and circles). Also admiring the concrete, refined and exposed, within the buildings themselves. I'm sure Ando is beaming down on their happy architect faces and thinking/shouting 'yes!'. (almost wrote that as if he was dead, Ando is actually 69, alive and well, according to wikipedia anyway)
